When my former workplace, the Folger Shakespeare Library, was looking for a new agency in fall of 2018, I was able to leverage my existing relationship with their team to bring them onboard as a company client, where our design work helped produce a remarkably successful season.
Our designs for the 2019-20 season included a season brand, as well as art for 3 individual plays.
I personally created 2 out of 3 season illustrations as well as the title treatments.
Once designed in accordance with the Folger’s creative goals, for each piece and the overall season we designed a variety of print and web deliverables, from a 6’ goalpost banner to a rich social media campaign that involved coordinating with consultants and implementing new techniques and strategies.
When the Folger returned for the 20-21 season, there was an additional challenge – this would be Folger Theatre’s first season “on the road,” as they took productions on tour during an extensive renovation of the Library space. I illustrated a season brand that focused on the figure of Puck and came up with the season theme – “Seek Me in Another Place,” referencing a quote from Shakespeare. I also designed multiple different, illustration-based concepts for the only play they would brand this season, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
